Doran Barnes - CEO, Foothill Transit

Doran Barnes serves as the chief executive officer of Foothill Transit in southern California. He oversees Foothill Transit's 38-route system and manages the private contractors who operate and maintain the agency’s 370 buses. In this role since 2003, Doran also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Access Services--the regional paratransit operator for all of Los Angeles County--and spent two years as chief executive officer and general manager of Tulsa Transit in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Very active in the transit industry, Doran has served as Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary-Treasurer of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA); as a member of APTA's Executive Committee of the Board of Directors; as Chair of the Transit Cooperative Research Program’s Oversight and Project Selection (TOPS) Commission; and as a member of the Executive Committee of the California Transit Association. FootHill Transit operates 33 hydrogen buses and has formalized orders for 19 more.
